Where can I get this MartinLogan Passage High-Performance In-Wall Speaker (Single) expensive mediocrateBy alemairei have always like the looks of the martin logans. i bought a pair of passage, and installed them, the sound quality was not very good (i'm using all B&K amp and preamp) (source equip. is a Denon);there is no sound stage and no depth. on certain musical pieces they sound ok(female vocals, woodwind instrumentals) but over all they underpreform. the highs are too high and there are no lows... at all. you will need a sub ( dont get any of the Dynamos- not powerful enough). martin logon recommends grotto or depth? but still tricky to match!after 100 hours for break in, i decided to make some cabinets for them behind the wall (used birtch). that worked alright but no major change in sound. for rock music they will not sound good at all. anything with distortion will sound contrived and awkward. there is detail but only in the highs. where are the mids? no mids... they are very fickle for quality recordings( strickly cd), meaning if you listen to ipods or theater tracks or tv, you will not be impressed. they will pick apart the flaws, and show them to you. they are efficient, so no huge wattage is needed, but to listen to them you WILL need a sweet spot with a carpetted room. also don't pair them with any other type of speaker. it's all or nothing, because the sound is so different from box speakers.See all 1 customer reviews... » More Information about MartinLogan Passage High-Performance In-Wall Speaker (Single).
